What do I offer?
I have many years of experience in research and industry in the area of applied IT-Security. Hence, I am expert in this field and additionally know the state-of-the-art problems as well as solutions for many different industry domains. Through my sales activities in the last years I also have a good overview of the IT-Security market and needs as well as a huge network.
In my current position, I am the chairman of management of ESCRYPT GmbH – Embedded Security and in addition the General Manager for part of ETAS product group “Product Security (ETAS-PSC/ECY)”. After I obtained my B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Dieburg (Germany), I worked at secunet Inc. as security engineer. Between 1999 and 2001, I worked as a Research Assistant in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), MA, USA. I obtained my Master of Science with specialization in applied data security in May 2001 form WPI. From August 2001 to September 2004 I worked as researcher at the University of Bochum in the field of communication security. In June 2004 I obtained my PhD from the Ruhr-University in Bochum (Germany), awarded with ’summa cum laude‘. In 2005 I started as CSO at the company ESCRYPT and in 2007 I became one of the managing directors of ESCRYPT.
I like and still do teach industry courses covering topics like data security and cryptology, applied IT-security or security of banking applications, e.g. at Motorola labs, GenoAkademie and TÜV Rheinland Akademie.
